This is our self built pond. The pond is 18ft X 26ft the depth is 3ft at the deepest area with a 19ft stream. It has 3 pumps and 4 bio filters, 1 Bio filter with 22" waterfall and a large skimmer. Approximately 3500 gals.

Planning and Construction

Our equipment is as follows:

1 Savio large skimmer with 16" weir
1 Savio Bio Waterfall bio filter with 22" opening
3 Savio versatile Bio Filters

2 Aqua Ultraviolet 57 watt UV's for Savio Skimmer

2 pond master 1800 gph pumps going to the bio filters. One is going to 2 inline bio filters and the second is going to the third bio filter.

1 ShinMaywa Norus 50CR2.25S Pump - 4800 GPH Submersible Pump in the large skimmer piped to the waterfall bio filter.

2 Laguna air pumps, I use only one for the winter months

All piping was done with PVC flex pipe 1 1/2" and 2" piping totaling around 200ftwith PVC fittings and ball valves.

Total of 9 lights. 4 underwater and 5 above water all controlled with a control unit by cal pumps

Added a Beckett 130 gph pump to a small water feature I built on the edge of the pond

Fish / Plant Stock

I have a few Koi and goldfish, frogs and pets in the pond. A baby snapping turtle moved in this winter too.
