Hi all..

The summer ponds here are doing well, it's cold but at the moment they
aren't completely frozen..

This morning I was really surprised when I saw some pond snails floating..

I removed some ice and saw them floating up and down. In fact some up and
others down but each one in perfect slowmotion..!

Well this is what they do at sunny days in early March time - greeting the
coming spring..

But today - and in November..?

A hidden Global Warming effect..? Snail Alzheimer..? NFD (November Floating
Disease)..? Any suggestions..?

BTW: Duckweed has won the match, it's just happily floating while the water
lettuce is definitely dead..! ;-)
