Pond Pump
I'm building a pond 10ft wide x 14ft long x 3.5ft deep. It's said that you should pump half your volume every hour. My question is how much is too much as far as GPH goes in a pump?

Re: Pond Pump
If it's sucking your fish into the impeller, then your pump is too big!!!

All joking aside, I don't worry about too much about more pump than you need. The fish love the challenge of swimming upstream.

I just added a 350 gph filter/pump to a 50 gallon aquarium with about 70 small Koi in it. They love it and I'm not the least concerned about the overkill.

My waterfall in my 650 gallon pond has a 3800 gph pump.
