Howdy from Hamilton, Ontario Canada

Hello everyone!! First day here and this is a nice forum to be a part of.
I am currently building a filter system from 2 - 55 gal barrels for my soon-to-be 2000 gal pond. Right now I have a 1000 gal and it needs a makeover.
I will add a bottom drain, vortex settlement and a biofilter this time around.
If anyone has ideas on 55 gal filters please post pics. I will probably incorporate furnace filters and bio balls or cut pipe as media.

Welcome to the forum! I too am from Hamilton (Center Mall area). I'm in the process of tweeking my 55gal drum filter that I recently made. I used different density "scrubbies" as my filter medium. I'm also currently building a waterfall. My pond stuff may be a little "Mickey Mouse" but I'm happy with it because I did it all myself!
