How long???

Hi there. Fired my pond up finally and decided to add my goldfish and some plants this year instead of chlorine. As you can imagine, I've got algae galore. I'm told this is because it's cycling up. That true? If so, how long before it gets better? Anything I should do to help it out? Oh, it's a 90g pond with a waterfall. Sits in full sun. (I'm gonna build an arbor) Has a Jerassic lettuce plant, a couple of water hyacinth's and a... I forget but it's big and tall and in a pot. A "green something" I think. Oh yeah, two goldfish. Comets.
