Hi everyone. Newbie to this forum. I'm hoping someone can give me some advice.

The question I have is, can a small turtle (like a red ear slider for example) rip a 20 mil. pond liner?

For the past few years, we had one of those small kidney-shaped plastic ponds. Now we just built a square pond that's 8 feet by 8 feet. It's partially raised above ground, but majority is below ground level (About 3 feet deep in the center too).

We have seven fish in the pond right now (3 goldfish, 4 koi).

I've been wondering if I could get a turtle for the pond also, but from what i've found on Google, it "may" be possible for one to tear the liner. The liner isn't perfectly smooth, it has some small wrinkles in it, so could that possibly make it easy for a turtle to rip?

I would like to add a turtle or two, but I don't want to risk having the liner get ripped. That's a headache I don't want.
