I'm hoping to build a pond for the garden. Its not the largest of gardens so the pond has to be in proportion (or the misses will kill me!) Ideally I'd prefer koi instead of goldfish, but, being a fish keeper already I know that koi, will require a minimum sized pond, both in terms of surface area and pure volume.
So my first question will be, what is the minimum size for a koi pond? I'm considering a pond somewhere in the 2mx2m size and around 1-1.2m deep.
