What are your favorite plants to keep in a pond. We've had lily pads and though i like and enjoy them, i would like to get something different next year?
I'm fairly new to having a pond so any suggestions would be most helpful?
Thanks and have a great day.

I have both Papyrus and Dwarf Papyrus in my pond and around it. They thrive all year round and even survive frost. Surprisingly they do better in dirt than they do in water. I bought a 1 gallon container 14 years ago and now have dozens of them some over 3 ft diameter.

Around the pond I have Golden Bamboo, Black Bamboo and I'm not sure what its called, but this bamboo grows 20' to 30' tall and is up to 3" dia.

For floaters, I have water lettuce (mostly dead due to cold) Water Hyancith (mostly dead due to cold).

Oh, in the pond planters, Cattails and Water Lillies.
