Ponds and dogs...

Howdy!

I'm really keen on getting a pond but I also have two very large dogs. I can't say for certain whether or not they'd go after fish in a pond. One isn't afraid of water and the other has a pretty high prey drive.

Any suggestions on how to keep the fish safe and/or the dogs out, without having to cover the pond with netting or something??

Hmm... That is a tough one. I suppose it would just take a lot of training or a fence. My neighbor has a big dog that will stand in the pond in the summer and drink the water, but doesn't bother the fish.
