To continue our iris theme!
Today the ladies who latte pursed pond
plants and I found sisyrinchium californicum,
or a mini iris as it was described

The tag says it is good to zone 6, online says 8-10... time
will tell. It will be up on the deck in a watery container and can
be protected in the winter (zone 7a here).
Very pretty with the starlike yellow flowers.

They close up at night... at least I hope that
is what they are doing and they aren't mortally
wounded or in plant shock or something!!
