So, I have been creeping on these forums for awhile taking in information to plan my pond. 2 weeks ago I began construction and decided to post pics to get some feedback and share with others.
I have estimated my pond to be around 8k gallons.
Max Dimensions: 27' x 16' x 4'; Most of the pond is between 2.5-3 ft deep with a 4' deep area on one end with a diameter of 5 feet and a bottom drain.
Pump: Elite Pumps 6440PRM23 Primer Pro Series 6440 GPH Self-Priming External Pond Pump
Skimmer: Little Giant 14940171 5000 GPH Skimmer
Bottom Drain: Little Giant 566181 Bottom Drain
BioFiltration: 2 - 55g drums

Nice pictures as well as your building progress. It seems that the civil engineers are clear about the design and later progress of the pond construction. The size 27*16 is more than enough i suppose but still even bigger would have been possible.
