Adding Skimmer to a preformed pond

I have a preformed 145 gallon pond and want to add and attach a skimmer. My question is, can an external skimmer be attached to a preformed pond? I have been unable to find any articles or videos about this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Probably not. At least not directly to the pre-formed. I would not attempt it and I have been installing Water Features for almost 20 years. It can be done if you line the pre-form with a liner.
