Arbor Day

Happy Arbor day everyone!

As you probably know, Arbor Day was created to encourage people to plant more trees. While I personally know a lot more about forbs than I do trees, there is no doubt that trees are equally important to our world. Just as with plants, I recommend choosing native trees for your yard. I added two dwarf White Cedar trees to my yard just a few days ago. If you have native trees in your yard, I'd love to see photos of them!

My peach tree is my favorite tree!

I now have 4 of them but my best are my cherry and pear trees .I want to get a fig tree .

I don't have a native tree, but I dug this plant from the mountains about miles from home. It's been here for around 20 years.

It gets small yellow flowers thru spring.

We have native Douglas firs and western red cedars. For perspective, the utility pole/streetlight in the first shot is 50 ft. tall. They're messy and can be scary in high wind but we love them.
