This Spring I decided to clear off a section of overgrown planting area between a knee-wall and a stone retaining wall, next to our patio. As I was digging out the old plants I thought it would be cool to put in a small pond, with a waterfall coming off the stone wall. It's my first aquascape, since building rock dams in natural streams, in the woods, as a child.

It's about a 200 gallon pond with a three foot waterfall, and a 4 foot stream. There's a tiny illuminated fountain in the center, and a solar spotlight on the waterfall.

A mid sized bullfrog has moved in, and has lived on the pond for almost two months now. There are regular visits from Mourning Doves, and I have seen some rare migratory birds stop for a drink too. There are no fish.

I need to finish off the stonework around the coping this Fall. The mosses are all transplanted from the backyard, and the Ferns were there naturally.
