Fixing problem with liner

I have a couple of places where I spliced the liner that an invasive plant burrowed into and separated it so the pond leaked. (I ripped out the invasive plant, what is in the wild should remain in the wild, a bad lesson to learn!) What is my best option other than completely redoing the pond, I don't want to do that. Would some of the waterproof foam squirted up inside the separations do it? I've had my pond in since 2007 so it is not as pliable as it was new and I'm not sure a new splice would work. Any help is greatly appreciated.

you may be able to fix it but more than likely it will not hold .Better to redo it .Is it pvc or 45 mil .Not sure but saying not pliable could mean pvc .$5 mil usually stays pliable longer .
