Hi,

This year we have Frogs in the pond! I've found 3 so far.

They've been croaking away for a week or so now, but i've only been able to snap a couple of pics... can anyone identify exactly what breed they are?

You will need to investigate what species are endemic to Austria, but I would venture to guess that these are a specie of Toad.

@LHB @Mmathis Thanks, good info :)

We had a frog/toad a couple of years ago that laid eggs, but the koi ate it all... we never saw any tadpoles. Shame. This year i'll create a small area where the larger koi can't get in... maybe the toads will use that. Would go good to see some tadpoles.

cheers,

Andy

Iv noticed a few frogs that have moved into my pond. Im glad I ended up sinking a few milk crates I did it because I bought a buncha "feeder goldfish" they were tiny and my bigger fish had that crazy look in their eyes.

It will serve as a place for the frogs to hide their eggs too, hope I see tadpoles this summer!
