Yesterday, I had the opportunity to visit the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, TN. Many have told me that the atriums were amazing, but I didn't believe them until now! There is even a river that runs through the gardens that houses carp and catfish. Also, many ponds and streams are in the garden containing oodles of koi and goldfish!

Wow! Those waterfalls and fountains are spectacular. I'm glad you included the pic with the boat full of people - it really gives perspective of how massive the place is. Very cool! (y)

Beautiful pix and that place is huge. Love those giant falling waterfalls. I think I would just ride in that boat all day long!

Isn't it gorgeous! When I was in my early twenties; before children ;) , my husband and I would go there at least once a year. Pictures do nOt do it justice, not that you didn't take nice pictures Calley :) there very good. The atrium is just absolutely spectacular, especially at Christmas time, they decorate it all up and light it up, gorgeous! So many beautiful tropical plant from all over the world.
Thanks Calley, I've not thought about that place in years :)

Hey Charles good to see ya :) Hope the weather has been good to you there this year. It been kinda crazy weather in this neck of the woods :)

Back at ya.

After the rough start this Spring, this year's summer has been so different than past 3 years. We are still struggling for rain, still classified as extreme drought the same as southern California, and just about a week ago my farm already met its recent "normal" drought average of 5.92 inches of precipitation, where as the city 90 miles south of me has gotten above their precipitation average and no longer in an extreme drought classification. :rage:

However, this summer has just been amazing due to the cooler temperatures, which is saving many crops here. This upcoming week we're supposed to be in the high-70s to low-80s for high temperatures, which is extremely unusual. The usual is supposed to be having our 30th or so day of 105*F weather, but I am glad for this cool summer.

With the grain markets finally trying to normalize and everything else changing, seems like this year is trying to get back to "normal".

This cooler summer is quite lovely.

I think after the polar vortex everything is messed up .The weather is crazy in 2 months we have only had to light showers and 1 of them was this morning .Nothings growing right and hardly any birds around or butterflies .My pond has been terrible ,but to be expected since it is a new pond .I did use as much of my old pond water as I could save but most of that was new since the pond was leaking bad before I rebuilt it .I had to buy 2 uv's to save peoples fish .The fish looked great when I took them back today .They told me to keep the uv's since they bought 2- 36 watt ones .They paid for the others so I decided to break down and try the 18 watt one in my pond .It just has a pump to it and the hose goes to a crate on top of the pond .Plants in the pond and filter are just not growing the way they did last year and I think that is not helping .Plus the fact I have not had much time for the pond .I gotta stop helping people because then I have no time for my own stuff that I have to do .Seems it rains every where they don't need it and not where it is needed

I know sissy. We've have more rain here than normal and last week it's was cool enough to shut off the air and open the windows :bored: IN JULY......... It's crazy.
Today it's windy but VERY humid, thunderstorms on the way tonight, and had a down pour last night. But this storm tonight is supposed to bring a cold front with it, so hopefully it will push out the humidity. Put it this way, so much rain this year 2 of my 3 peach trees got a fungus and didn't produce. And the one that did half of those are molding on the tree .
