Grow and show picking

Today was our clubs grow and show picking where we had a choice of about 16 koi .
As you know from other posts we have to grow our koi on until the clubs photo competition and the winner is then picked out .
We last won it with a beautiful Ochiba Shiguri koi a number of years ago.
Well today we were drawn third out of the hat and Val and I decided on one of two koi a Shiru Otsuri or a stunning Ochiba shiguri .
When our turn came we wennt around to view the koi only to find our first choice was gone.
There were two Ochiba's to choose from we chose the best of them it was already 4" larger than its start size of 6", I've a feeling its a female
Sadly Photo's will have to follow at a later date

Well our love affair continues with this stunning example of a young ochiba shiguri , the photo is the best we can get for the time being hope you like it

Yes because shes bought and paid for in addvance Maria but at that stage we dont have a clue what koi we will get , when we will be called from the hat etc , so you have to try to plan ahead hense our first and second choices of koi should we have the chance to get a decent koi and being picked third enabled us to be able to do this
Remembering also that its grown on 4" from this the first photo
