Hi.

My name is Ardan, i am from Mexico.
In 2014 i did my first attempt to lotus cultivation.Unfortunately 2014 was a year with a cool weather. The seed was born on 9 march. The plant was growing slowly. In june of 2014 the temperatures in the night fall to 58ºF. So, my lotus died.

I thought the conditions of mi place not be adequate to the lotus. So i gave up.

In september 2014 we had a warm fall.

The last year was warm, and i thought: maybe this year the lotus can grow well. So i thought about all my mistakes of 2014 and i decided to start again the lotus cultivation in 2016.

And i am lucky. This year is more warm that 2015. I scraped the seed on march. And the plant respond very well.

l There is no a lot of information about lotus cultivation in spanish. The information that exist has many mistake and sometimes the information is contradictory. That was the reason that i started to read blogs, forums and documents in english about lotus. And i found this forum. And i decided to share with you the progress of my lotus. And i found this forum. And i decided to share with you the progress of my lotus and learn here.

Sissy: it is aluminum foil. I put it because i thought the sun can burn the roots. I assumed that the sudden temperature changes could hurt the roots. On a sunny day the container is heat up and cool down at night. The aluminum
reflects sunlight .

Then I heard that black pots are better
Next year I will try with black pots.
