So I'm having the pond I built a few years ago get a big overhaul and hardscape the stone I have around it and replace some of the piping.

About a week ago after the bog sprung a leak

From Monday, most of the rock removed.

Side yard replacing the pipe to the bottom drain

So one of the biggest reasons I wanted to do this was #1 I hated grass growing between my rocks but a close second was to solve the issue with a very slow almost nonexistant waterfall flow from the bottom drain.

I suspected the company I hired was shady and boy was I right! Look!

A 4 inch drain down to a 1.5 inch pipe at the bottom of the pond going up the side! As clueless as I can be even I know that's universally stupid!

Here is it before they ripped it out

Needless to say with the afternoon rains has slowed progress down.

From today:

More stonework done

And bottom drain is working! The waterfalls still have to be built

Is that nuts or what! Works great now :)

I am a bit concerned about the size of the flow.

Here it is. I'll be putting it through a waterfall diffuser about 18 inches from the ground. Is this flow sufficient or should I be looking at a larger pump?

Here's a pic of the new waterfall going in. 32 inches wide!
