Beautiful koi and such clear water, can see all the way to the bottom. Love the deer visitors in the back ground too :)

Wow, that's one deep and clear pond! Nice koi too :) I had to smile at the deer as I see they walk vertically in your part of the world!

We live in the Cascade Mountains so the bond is vertical. I have very large pumps which suck through my bottom drains and they keep fish and water in the pond.:joyful:

Very nice! How big is your largest koi and approximately how old?

Beautiful fish and love how big your pond is and looks like you are in a very nice area living out in the country w/all the critters. How do you keep the heron away?

Ah I see, too deep for their necks to strain down and stab into and they won't fly in the deep water I suppose.
Although I just read this on a site:
Other techniques are observed more rarely: for example, great blue herons in flight sometimes dive underwater to catch fish; others hover over the water and submerge their heads to catch fish; and some swim in deep water and feed on fish found near the surface.
So beware! Think they tried this in @addy1 's pond before she put her net up.
