Our pond is in a state of flux. Recently we found a second cypress tree knee growing from the root extendind the liner. I finally was able to correspond with a local horticultural expert. His most valuable recommendation was to wait until autumn or even winter before taking any action that will impact the tree. Pond water remains crystal clear. Hundreds of Gambusia's plus dunks combating mosquito larvae. Dallas county recorded this years first death due to West Nile Virus. Almost forgot, lovely pink bloom from the water lilies this week. Area wildlife has surely benefited from the pond's water during this brutal summer.
