Should i put snails in pond

Should i put snails in pond to help keep clean with koi and catfish. If so what type?

I have some very tiny ones that just showed up on their own.... However some folks put trapdoor snails in their ponds.

I have trapdoors and a lot of other type snails, small ones. Both do well.

I have 2 kind of snails in my pond . a few of the white ones 'apple' snails I bought at Walmart .. the second picture is a big dark one from a few my daughter got from a lake she was fishing ... it has a pointed shell , it's right next to the box filter ... most of the couple she brought me, died just the biggest ones lived ...

I like my trapdoors but if you net the bottom it can be hard to sort them out .Also found my biggest koi Aggie has taken a liking to snails as a treat and sucks them right out of there shell .

Our turtle likes snails too. He also likes baby toads and tads too.
