We had the annual Dallas/Ft Worth pond open house down here and took some pics for everyone.

This was by far the biggest. 75x75 with an upper pond feeding it. All natural filtration.

I wish I had more shots of this one. Its my personal favorite. 14x8 feet and 8 feet deep!! 3 different filteration systems. One 3 tub rock filter, one 2 tub bio filter and a shower filter which the owner described as a filter designed to clean and cool down the water.

He had multiple awards for best in show Koi and I dont doubt it. These were the biggest monsters I've ever seen. At least the size of a rolled up 2 person tent each. Unbelievable.

Thanks for sharing these. They had a pond tour around here a few years ago but not anymore. Some nice looking ponds. I love that large one.

WOW! AWESOME!! And thanks for sharing that! I'll have to watch for that in the future, as Dallas is only about 3 hrs. from here.

Was this a tour of ponds, where you drive to all the different places? Most awesome! I NEED to see more ponds up close and in person so I can actually SEE how & what people do to make them be so successful.

A tour of local ponds sounds like a fantastic idea! I'd love to be able to do something like that around here.

It was! I'll try to scan the book's descriptions of each for everyone. There were over 30 on the list!

Great ponds, I enjoyed seeing the pics, thanks for sharing. Going on a pond tour would be really fun. They have garden tours here but have not seen a pond tour.
