Well my wife saw a pair of mallards today in our pond while I was as work. First of the season. Glad I got the pond up and running yesterday.

I'm thinking about taking out some of my potted plants and adding bigger stones this year. My pond still has pea gravel everywhere from when my Mallards visited last year, and they will probably be back in a few weeks.

Good idea JB. My goldfish seem to be able to dig that gravel easily out of the pots also.

Sounds like a good plan

They come here now and then, but due to my high hanging heron net, they don't visit the pond. The herons visit too often to take the net off.

We had a stray duck last year. Maybe he will return this year with a mate? Our dogs are not the most welcoming hosts, so we'll see if we get a second chance!
