Today was rainy. Whenever it rains, rain from the roof flows down the downspout and enters the canal from the upper stream, replacing all of the water in the aqueduct and canal with fresh water. Right after the rains, I followed a water buffalo around in the upper reach of the stream, which flows under a concrete trestle. While following said buffalo around, I spotted an old car that someone had dumped beside the stream. Looks to be worth a lot of money if someone is willing to fix it up. Saw some tadpoles in the murky water. Wonder if they'll survive the coming cold. Suppose not.
