My water hyacinths have gone mad this year, I've just cleaned out a good hundred from my pond and they've helped keep the water clear this season. I only get a handful, but this has been their most prolific season to date. I'll overwinter some in the greenhouse again ready for 2017 as I've done for the past 5 years or so.
I was wondering, has anyone in the UK got them to flower in an outdoor or indoor setting? Do they have to be a certain size or is it the higher temps that would trigger them to bloom? I might try some in my greenhouse as well next year just as an experiment.

They don't like my pond, never grow well. I don't bother with them, even though they are pretty.
