Hi, unique problem, have a 30' dia.pond and an adjacent small one, (10') . . . with spring melt (in BC) floods both ponds, till water recedes to within each pond. The goldfish tend to head towards the smaller pond (even though I have a wire screen set up to try and prevent the fish from moving over, some still find their way into the smaller pond. Why ? . . . . .do they tend to want to go there ? Very baffling. I want them to stay in the big pond ! Any suggestions ? Thanks !

Small pond is probably warmer with more feeding opportunities.

Maybe they don't like being small fish in a big pond.
