I'm looking at getting a pond vac and would like to know if there are ones that are better than others. I'm looking at paying $100 or less.

I'd be interested as well. I really don't know what to look for in a vacuum or if cheaper ones are worth buying.

there's another thread on this topic. try search. I just bought the OASE lower end model and it works fine. for under $100 you better find used or have a shallow pond.
