I have a small pond, about 10x16, and have fish that will not eat food. Last winter I lost most of my big fish, my heater went out, and all to my surprise, their were babies that survived. Last summer they wouldn't eat fish food. I am assuming they must be surviving on algae and bugs because they have grown. I am wondering if I get a fish that has eaten fish food and put it in with them, perhaps they will follow his lead. What do you think?
Also, all the babies are dark in color with a yellow streak down their backs and around their gills and head. Will they change color, or will they stay dark?
Thanks for your answers.

You haven't told us what kind of fish or food you are trying to feed them. Also, put your location in your User CP so we have an idea where you are.
