Ok. My wife split our pot of cattails due to the fact that half the roots were already coming out the sides. They were pretty root bound so splitting them needed to happen. ISSUE... Unfortunately while she was working on them they tipped over and creased all the leaves so now they just droop over. What would you do? Cut them all off and hope new ones come in quickly or leave them alone and let nature takes its course. We are still real early in the growing season so I am leaning toward leaving them alone and let them do their thing. Any thoughts?

Cut short the bent and broken ones, you will get new growth.
