2 of my fish became a bit batterd in the spawn this year and lost a few scales ..they are ok just silver now ...no signs of any ulcers or redness, im just worried if they are more likely to disease this winter ?

A good preventative measure is to salt the pond. Go to my web site for more information on this. Some plants do not like salt so you have to either isolate them or not use this method.

Go to my web site to get information if you need it for the salt treatment. There is also a link to the Univ of Florida there.
