My favorite is pic #7. That thing darned nearly looks like it would glow in the dark! Are you sure that fish doesn't have a bulb inside?!

What a beautiful herd! The last one is a stunner as well...the scales are just magical...love the texture/color. You definitely have a thoughtful collection there...looks like you really worked hard to get a good mix of color, texture, pattern, etc.

They all look nicely fed as well. Plump! Diamond lil has quite a set of shoulders on her, too. She looks like a line backer. LOL!

Diamond Lil sounds like the old toilet plungers. It's all day Slurp! Slurp! Slurp! around the pond.
The last one is a Buda Goromo.

They would even look better but the water is cold and they were swimming at about 2' down.

We need a post a pic of your favorite Mutt thread........I think thats all I have lol. So tell me, did your taste in Koi (patterns, colors, etc) change over time from when you first got into the hobby?

That would be a Ginrin Ki Utsuri which is the last row 3rd fish.
I've always liked Kohaku. I grew to like the Sanke and Showa
Shiro Utsuri and Ochibas next.
Also I would like to have all female koi.

Next time you're looking at buying stocks let me know, and I'll send you some money! You've got quite an eye for $5 fish! LOL!

Ain't it the truth tho, that mutts can become beloved jewels in the pond. My oldest koi/mutt, Big Ben, was around $6 bucks years ago, and I certainly didn't know much about what I was doing when I bought him other than I thought he looked pretty. He's ended up being a perfectly lovely sanke.
