Can Koi fish get along with tilapia fish? I have a chance to pick up a couple of tilapia fish but I don't know if my koi fish will happen a problem with its new room mate.

Hi chris. If you could add your location and the size of your pond, etc. It would be most helpful.

Actually koi and tilapia can live peacefully side by side in a very large pond. Both fish species get very big over time and require lots of space. Tilapia for one, get big very quickly and need lots of space for swimming.

Are you planning on eating the tilapia ultimately?
