I have a strange fish in my pond. Unlike the others he has a split tail, moves differently from the others with a fast, sharp, side to side wadel No clue how he got there. He is about 4" today. What I would like to know am I going to have trouble keeping him in my winter pond with my other 4 goldfish? Will I need to sink a heater this winter along with my air pump to keep him alive this winter? Thank you.

It may be an orf, they have a forked tail, and rapidly move throughout the water.
They are a solid salmon color. We have three of them, they love to school.
Is your fish a solid salmon color?
