I now have my air pump running. It has a dial to make it run slow or fast. My pond is 300 gal with a small deep end of two feet. How powerful should I set the air flow? Thank you very much. I set the air stone at 8 inches down the corner of the deep end.

Just set it high enough to get good buble action that would prevent ice from forming over. It doesn't need to be a crazy rumble, but it can't be too light either. Just use your natural instincts for what looks right.
