Hi All! :regular_waving_emot

Ok the forum tells me I need to introduce myself, so here goes....

I'm from South Africa and recently moved into a house with a pond in the garden. The pond was FILTHY when I got here, and I decided to take the challenge of getting it up-and-running again. So I emptied it out, scrubbed it down and re-filled it. I'll hopefully be getting some fish in a few weeks' time, when I get back from holidays. I have my eyes on some Oscars.

So that's me and my pond :) And now I must hop over to the Newbie section to post my first query. Stay tuned......

Welcome! Welcome!

I bet an Oscar would get massive in a pond! I used to love when I had them in tanks because they quickly become very tame and recognize you when you show up with food. Mine practically danced out of the water when they saw me coming.

Unfortunately they got too big for my tanks and I had to rehome them. They are terribly fun fish to have tho.
