I have an 8000 gal pond with a couple of waterfalls that is three years old. It is currently stocked with ten large koi and about 100 fry. I have included a few photos which will describe it much better than I can.

Thanks for the positive comments. My wife, BJ, and I designed the pond but had a local landscaper do most of the work. The stones came from a ranch about 30 miles North of Abilene. Most were loaded by my brother and me using hand dollies. This initially went fast but the more rocks we removed the further we had to travel from the trailer. Our first load took two hours, the last took six and one-half. Credit for the natural look of the waterfalls goes to BJ who directed the rock laying. The bridge was constructed by a local stone mason. He had built arches but this was his first bridge. The initial incline was way too steep so we extended the bridge in both directions to reduce the climb angle.
