It snowed almost 20" yesterday. Beautiful, beautiful. I went upstairs to look out the window at the pond ( can't stand to disturb the snowfall in the yard and I can look down into it that way.) The aerator which had frozen up last week was going great guns, even though it was 24 degrees out. Combined with the heater, there is about a four foot round hole in the ice. I could see the goldies slowly moving around and I felt so... well.. pond competent! Course I must thank you veterans for your guidance and assurance that they would survive the ice and snow and lack of food. They're just doin' what fish do in the winter.. chilllin' and waiting for warmer days :D A few more months to go, but I feel much better about their ability to survive in spite of my human incompetence!
