getting koi by mail in winter

was looking around on ebay to see what kind of pond stuff there was on it and theres a lot of people selling koi on there i thought it would be to cold right now to ship koi is that true or can they be shipped year around

I have gotten koi off eBay during the spring , in a bag of water
This time of year ,it might be a cube
I never got any during the winter, they might wait for warm days
I would look at the different koi and shop in the spring

i wasnt going to buy in the winter they would be a koicicle just seamed odd that people were selling them and offered shipping i guess

could be that those in way warmer climates can still buy or those that have them indoors like koiguy has his winter vacation spa resort. Techincally, he'd still be able to purchase.

I agree tho, that shipping this time of year is risky.
