So you don't really know what your buying when you buy a prized Koi anymore

this is why i can't stand these high level shows. the lengths that folks will go to in order to present the "perfect" fish never ceases to amaze me. It was already a stunning fish...but what they will do for one little spot they don't like is incredible... I personally don't agree with it, but of course, there's lots of money at stake for breeders in this business.

that's right! And make a heap of money in babies if it does earn that title. It seems more like a "pseudo" grand champion to me.

Well, I guess it's no different than all the souped up siliconed gals in a Playboy mag--most folks seem to pay more for the artificial rather than the real....we are a shallow bunch when it comes to what looks perfect.
