Hello all, I am ready to run pipe from the pump to filter. What do you recommend I use. Heard there is schedule 40 flex pipe, conventional rigid pvc white pipe. What to use with the least water resistance also ease of connections between pipe, pump, waterfall etc. I will be running about 35' length with 3' of waterfall head.
Thanks for ur input. y2k

remember that every 10' of horizontal plumbing aquals 1' of head heigth. so youve got 3&1/2' of head in horizontal run if your filters 35' away...so 3' of verticle and 3.5' horizontal is 6.5' of head.
theres definately something fishy about this forum!

Use a minimum of fittings and try to avoid any 90's if you want to have the least resistance to flow. I use flex pipe as much as possible, no joints and gentle bends.

Sounds like flex pipe is the way to go. Which clamps do you use with this pipe? Are they the ones you tighten like car hose clamps?
