All I know is most people say here - "You can never have enough filtrations".

if size/cost doesn't matter, go bigger.

I just got my 100 gal stock tank today! I am roughly going to have a pond between 2300-2800 gals so I went with the 100 gal tank. I read somewhere here that the rule of thumb is 55gal tank for every 1500 gal of pond water. True, you can never have too much filtration.....

We just did a thread on how to hide these...a bunch of folks gave ideas such as shrubs, lattice, ornamental grass, etc.

As big as you can go. I have a 150 gallon stock tank for my 5,000 pond, plus other filtration, but I may replace the 150 gallon with a 300 gallon.
As stated before, you can never have too much filtration.
