I'm new to the site and was wondering why my post (under aquatic plants) do not show up on the "Get New Posts" page.

'water plants dying' does show on the "get new posts" function. but you should have asked this in the "feedback" forum or "contact us"
but this site does have a 15 minute auto refresh...so it may take that long to show

It won't show up for you if you were the last person to comment in it.

"Get New Posts" are for posts others have made that you have not seen yet, not ones you just made.

Your new posts are in moderation queue. You don't need to worry about it. Your post 'll approve soon once they get approved.
