Help with using Baquacil Oxidizer

I have a 2000 gallon Koi pond. i would like some info on using Baquacil Oxidizer,

What it treats
How often to use
How much to use

One of our other members recommends:
Use one cup for every 2000 gallons. Also use a air pump to disperse it throughout the pond.

I use use it to control string algae.
I use one cup for every 2000 gallons.
Try to get air in the pond to disperse it.
Do this every other day till the algae is gone.
It works great.
