That would depend on the type of liner you are buying, the type I use they heat seal it together.

they make a seam tape for the EPDM liners...45mil is the industry standard in pond liners. they will outlast the PVC liners by a long ways. much stronger and more U.V resistant. i cant comment on the liners addy uses as i'm not familiar with them. i'm aware of them but have never used them. addy has nothing but good things to say on them. the PVC liners come in 20 mil and 30 mil. (30 mil is the thickest ive seen) i think they have 5 - 10 year warranties, i do know someone whos had a 20 mil liner in his pond for 10 years now..no problem...45 mil EPDM liners come with 20+ year warranties, some lifetime...there are lots of online dealers for pond liners. i have had a 20 mil PVC liner in my basement pond for 5 years... like new, but there is no U.V exposure.

They are in the uk koiguy so doubt the ppl is available over there. I know they will make it as large as you need it though.

I have read (a while back) of someone seaming epdm, they made an S out of the two pieces of liner, sort of tucking them together, then used goop (don't recall what) then put tape over the seams.

If they are going to seam it, I sure would wipe with acetone, make sure the liner is laid out flat, wipe it with acetone, apply the tape and let it sit for a while before using.
I know when I have used tape it seems to need a little time to bond really well

i seamed together the liner for my first pond...3 pieces....just the tape is all you need, oh and the cleaner primer for the liner ensures a better bond. its 2 sided... you lay the liner pieces out on a flat surface the way youll need them, with a 3" overlap for the seam(s). clean the surfaces to be seamed and put the tape between them...stick down one side to the bottom piece. then peel the paper off the top of the tape as you put the seam together...easy!

Glad to know it works well, i have only seamed waterfalls, streams etc, never a liner to be put in a pond.
