Not sure anyone even reads these things! But, if you do, here you go.
Aquarium keeper most of my adult life, I idiotically bought a red eared slider, and some feeder goldfish. Turtle didn’t eat the fish, our two guard geese didn’t want them, stubborn things survived extramarital odds, so they ended up living in a pool pond. Big pool, not chlorinated, no filter, no pump, just well water and occasional feeding from us. Then they got interesting, and I started trying to learn more, fell in love with ponds, especially water lillies, and am working on my own outdoor pond. I plan to have a bog filter at some point, I’ll have to wait and see. No fish to go in it for about a year, give the wildlife a chance to see it’s just a boring big puddle, unless the frogs find it.
