Ugh! Any way to lure them somewhere else, so your pond is lower on their list of places to be?

Looks like more traps are going to be needed...

I have multiple traps, the only one catching the snakes is the minnow trap in the big pond right near the hyacinths. So far #10 has not been compliant. Have not seen it again have not caught it.

Try calling a pest exterminator?
They just put out traps and charge a nice amount. No more than I am doing. Mine are baited, occasional small fish swims in, I let them loose as they do, after a day, tads swim in. The last fish that got into the trap was eaten as two snakes were caught.

I hate to loose even one but if one catches a snake it is worth it.

I'd put out mouse traps at this point you saved plenty of them it's time to get them before they have more babies and you have to start over

Mouse traps, never thought of them. I did read they have glue traps, but I don't want to trap frogs and other critters.

Glue probably won't work if snake is wet

Glue traps are horribly inhumane. I understand that you're frustrated with the water snake 'infestation', but... if a frog or other critter doesn't deserve to die a slow, painful death via glue trap, then neither does a snake. (climbing down off my soapbox as I hit 'post')

They have a glue trap that catches them and you can use veg oil to release. I would never use. Just going to keep using the minnow trap.

Patience and dedicated trapping are probably your best bet. They may eat enough fish, they decide to move on....espeically if you don't replace them.

I'm really sorry you're going through this.

The problems you have when you build the perfect nature preserve lol

Taken at dusk in our back field they were eating near the bog for a bit.
