Oh boy have you done a wonderful job on displaying all of your pond and all the hard work it took to get there to such a beautiful place to enjoy for many years to come! We have seen all your work as you were doing it and I can just imagine the open mouths and wide eyes of newcomers here that see all this for the first time.

Wind chimes to me are like the cousin you absolutely love who comes to pay a visit who never leaves there comes a point when Nice becomes over bearing and too much. The wood blocks subtle and not to loud are my only preference. another reason i put this together so people don';t have to read posts about everything and anything. though i am as guilty as the next guy if not more so

This is the most detailed showcase of a pond build I've seen. I really love your pond. I have a question I see you have some pitcher plants and I love them but I live in cold winter country and I was told by my pond specialist that temperature doesn't matter so we are ok there but she said that carnivorous plants don't do well with city water because of chlorine. What kind of water is in your pond do you have an auto fill? Your plants bog look really healthy.

I did a lot of home work when i decided to build the pond but never found everything together so i decided to try and do just that. i appreciated the praise I do have city water and add 100 gallons everyday in summer but i never add dechlorinator anymore. but i also collect water from the roof so i suppose im white washing the effects of one with the other. The pitchers are in the pond water but it's more of a saturation area there is no upflow bog there. i am in connecticut so they freeze solid in the winter i want till spring to cut back what browned out over the winter and they have been doing quite well. they are in a mixture of sand and peat. and what they recommend not using beach sand is what i did use but it's mixed with small river rock as well it's a little this little that

I love this detailed overview! It's especially helpful in showing all the possibilities for creating an amazing piece of nature in one's own garden. And the result is just stunning!

It's also really inspirational for someone like me, who's gardening in a very different climate -- I can see how you've made the best use of available materials to create your little slice of heaven, which gives me ideas about how to do the same. Forget all those snazzy Aquascape videos -- this showcase is the best pond porn out there!

Absolutely the "go to" for anyone wanting to see how to build an amazing pond. @GBBUDD this is a fantastic documentary on what to do, suggestions and tips on how to do it, and those "watch out for" things so many of us have run into. I always learn something from you in your regular posts, and this is a masterpiece. Thank you!

Guess i'm in the wrong business. I'm glad the organization, formatting and over all writings aren't troublesome . It took some time to put it all together and it's still not done the cistern and some fun pictures have yet to be added. I'm glad it's being found to be helpful.
