I want to try to have my koi breed.Ive never really tried before.I have been reading about putting a mop head in the pond?Whenever ive put plants in the koi have eaten them.This sounds like a good thing to use.Can someone give me tips on how to go about this process and what materials I need to add to the pond to get them started

You can put 'em in an aquarium, yes. Or you can build yourself on of these if you want to just keep them in the pond:

The 2nd and 3rd both appear to be female. A direct overhead shot is the best way to see the profile.

If my pond is 3ft deep should I make the mop strings longer or keep them the size that he said
They only need to extend a few inches in the water.
The ones I detail on my build are about 12" long. I cut the strings at 24" and then fold 'em in half arround the cork. The fish will fill 'em up with eggs up and down.
I made 2 uf them and made the 26in and folded them.I had to tie them up so they wouldnt get caught in the filter.Will that be ok if there not floating all over the pond,just in one spot
yep. I prefer 'em floating in one spot, too.
